| Here we see a wooden Sabot conserved originally with PEG. Through APRL research, the excess PEG has been removed, leaving essential bulkers in the matrix for polymerization. | |||||||||||||
| Here we see the result of the conservation of a single plank of waterlogged wood using four different methods. W2 has been conserved using silicone oils while W1 was left to air dry. | |||||||||||||
| This is a leather shoe from La Salle's 17th century shipwreck of La Belle. The artifact has been conserved using APRL silicone oil technology. It is soft to the touch and very flexible. | |||||||||||||
| A waterlogged piece of basketry from La Belle is conserved using silicone oils. This particular artifact posed unique conservation challenges as it was filled with iron shot. The results are indeed very positive. | |||||||||||||
